Crowns are done when there is significant wear and structural damage in teeth. Crowns act as a cap that go over the tooth and helps hold it together, preventing further decay.

Bridges
Bridges are done in to replace missing gaps in teeth. The conventional bridge is held by anchor teeth next to the missing gap. Bridges are made up of several units of crowns. Bridges consists of crowns materials – porcelain, metal gold alloys or a combination of both.
A cantilever bridge is done where a bridge is supported at one end by a supporting tooth or teeth.
A maryland bridge is a false tooth held by wings that are placed on the lingual side of anchor teeth to the misssing gap..
Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances used to replace several missing gaps.
If there are still existing teeth, partial denture is done in replacing the gaps. Parital denturse have special clasps that hold them onto the teeth.
If there are no teeth in jaw, full dentures are done for chewing and biting. Implant supported dentures may be done for better retention and support.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a metal post with thread that is inserted into the jaw bone to allow the attachment of a new prosthetic tooth at the top on the post.
Dental Implants acts simliar to having new tooth roots with a crown placed on top of the implant. Dental implants are fixed and can last for a life-time.
